i HATE selling tickets.
been selling donation draw tix at the zoo for the past 2 days cos i thought it was:
1) a good chance to earn some cash
2) selling such stuff helps to build up your confidence or watever shit
3) havent visited the zoo for ages and this is a good time to check it out.
while it has helped thicken my skin, it doesn't help that some people you approach are just bloody sarcastic and cant be bothered with you. what's worse, they don't even look at you even though you're talking to them. assholes. ask them for a donation and they make you feel as if you're at their mercy. some of them can even give stupid assholdic answers like: "i'm a friend of the zoo so i think i'm already contributing", or "i'm already a friend of the zoo, do you still expect me to do things like this?" the asshole who said the latter sentence really made it sound as though i was pointing a gun at her and forcing her to buy a ticket. wah lau eh. at least say "no, thank you" or what la... (@&%$($(*!#**#
big deal, friends of the zoo, might as well say you're friends with the president right. kaoz, bloody pissed.
it didn't help that today was rainy and dreary, hence the dismal turnout at the zoo. after selling just 3 books i up and left...can't tahan facing all those miserly pigs who turn up their nose at us. went to town and finally got down to shopping after working for abt half a month...am thinking of getting a web camera after talking to ying on it last night...damn fun! just that it's kinda laggy...but interesting =) can talk to him using it...like video conferencing, haha.
nothing much to do tonight except paint my nails...looking forward to a lazy week ahead =)

went to yum cha to eat with usual gang today...i enjoyed the crispy carrot cake esp. =) actually the rest also v nice la...just remember that the red flower's inedible shuhui =P haha we were laughing to death when she started peeling off the petals and stuffing them in her mouth...then the waitress was like, "xiaojie, that's not for eating"...hhahahaha..think i should bring a cam next time to capture their embarrassing moments...hiak hiak..
life as usual goes on...now that i've started working, i understand why people enjoy job-hopping. who said stability's good? just a week or more into my job and i'm looking forward to a change in environment....that's not to say i dont enjoy my current job helping grace (my cousin)....my colleagues are nice and i get to listen to perfect 10 all day while sorting out receipts...and it's actually quite fun packing those receipts cos it makes u feel v organised =P but then i can't fathom working there for months or years straight...sigh...am going to be a really disloyal worker next time...probably wont get to have any pension. almost everything is mundane or boring, so i wonder what the hell i'm going to do next time. as my mom said, i probably just want a bag of money. who doesn't want right.
tried my hand at making a cake on shuhui's birthday...yeah i think we can all go set up a bakery...we were so bloody professional =) i wanna try making a cake from scratch again....hee.
jumped out of bed today in anticipation of the interesting day ahead....haha. i havent woken up earlier than like, 1030 prior to this day? =P
went to his house for a delicious albeit v filling breakfast before we left for s'pore expo to catch the body world's exhibition. can't believe the specimens displayed are actually real....wonder if the meat is really human meat? the display said no touching but i couldn't resist putting my finger on it...haha...=P there is a smell like my sis said but it aint bad...everytime we saw a specimen we'd be checking out its erm...genitalia haha(most specimens were male so...=P) damn interesting...saw the lungs of a smoker and it's really black! this should serve as a warning to all smokers out there (for ur info, i hate smokers to the core) check it out...but if u want to smoke ur life away that's ur prob. just dun harm innocent people who inhale ur disgusting smoke. ugh. saw loads of hc people there too...guess its the S7s.
shot off to queensway later cos he wanted to pick up some shoes for new year....i tried on a couple of converse shoes but couldn't decide which i wanted..bah. the orange one looks quite nice though...after trudging around for a couple of hrs he finally got his clothes and shoes and i had to go to cold storage to shop for a surprise bdae dinner...thanks to him for lugging the stuff back for me due to my handicap.
money's running out soon...need to replace my left contact lens and get a job, before people at home start looking down on me. will they please know that whatever happened to my arm was not my fault!!!
visited the doctor today and got my dressing changed. when the lady asked if i wanted to look, i said yes...haha. am really curious to see what's been done to my poor little arm so i was twisting my head and staring (it requires a rather awkward pos to look at one's elbow properly). she then proceeded to clean it and luckily it dnt hurt at all....finishing off with waterproof plaster...cool man =) plus i finally washed my hair (sth quite impossible to accomplish with one arm in a sling) and got my highlights redone....they look really nice now...haha....so happy =)
it'll be another 2 weeks before i can extend my arm...meanwhile just gotta make the sling my best friend. this doesn't mean that i'm just gonna squat at home like i did the past week. can always get him to come but i feel bad about not going out with him too....had a great time yesterday just chilling at my house and watching vcds...pity cant go upstairs.
think i can only start working in feb...debating about whether to go into sales or customer service or admin. the money has to be good though...wahahahaH
